9 August - More 3 D forms are explored

Updates on the decoding process: More 3D forms are explored, could the message be something meant to be reconstructed in the real world? Various generations meet to find possible meanings. Is the message meant to be read on a sphere?

Whether it gets put on a moon or not, i think the map is meant to be on a sphere

Hi there , I would like to submit an idea that follow the my previous post and the findings of my grand-daughter Isabelle interpretation-chat I found this "elegant" as it is just a question of point of view and culture
We all are sticked on a Cartesian representation of the data on a square grid for the starmap and some rectangle grid for the header/footer . That’s ok for us because it is what they teach us for years (and also rené Descartes to take the name to this axes) base of this Cartesian coordinate system is 90 degrés axis
It is usefull for us because in this we can stick a regular grid with 4, 16, 25, …. 65536 pixels . This Cartesian coordinate system allow us to make a grid of 256*256 pixels and by the way this is the number of pixels of the starmap …

Up to now, nothing really emerge from this coordinate system except the pattern on 6 2x2 dots
followingthe idea of my grand-daughter , I look more accurately (on paper unfortunately) to "equilateral triangle coordinate system/presentation"
And it come with something interesting

If you count the number of triangles inside the biggest one , you will remark that you have 2^n triangles .n is the step to construct the biggest one
That means that we can fit the starmap in this coordinate system . With 256 steps, it holds 65536 bits
I tried with the header … but the header is 80 bits .. this is not 2^n form … but 80 is 16 + 64 and it fits on 2 triangles like this

The header can also be splitted and viewed as 5x16 bits by « triangle words» of 16 bits that can aslo (if necessary) be folded in 5 tetrahedrons

I think this way can provide us another view of the data . Unfortunatly due to my broken foot I am in bed and I cannot do anything more . I will try to map the footer same way with paper ... but if somebody could have the time to see what the starmap could look like this way, it will give us may be ?? another track to follow.... I think, this is an "elegant" way to view the data. And, remember this can also be folded in one or more tetrahedrons to make 3D object(s). Hope somebody will follow and this message will not be forgot in the stream of messages

Puzzling with the header

@Albert Fetscher now let's try the reversed triangle
base up, point down ;P

otherwise we could try a rhombus screen config
or a pentagon °_°
