1 August - Some decoders are taking the message into physical forms

The interpretation chat on Discord has been very active over the past few days. Some decoders are taking the message into physical forms, sketching the numbers down or creating origami. Folds and symmetries are tested to reveal the possible content of the message. Literary references from science and poetry dot the interpretation chat.

this is the timelapse of symmetric points with a line in the middle of the starmap and rotating 360°

Lokie had folded horizontally and vertically this picture, could it help to now fold it diagonally and diagonally. I was wanting to do this several days ago but don’t have the tools

Using 6-bit GBCD coding (https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/BCD_(6-bit)):
Decoding the central axis from top to bottom and decoding = A
Decoding the central axis from bottom to top and decoding = K
By not using the yellow boxes (which look vaguely like an A)
Decoding the highest line in both directions gives @ and @.
If you go down, the following lines give:
9 from right to left and Q from left to right
5 right to left and M left to right

Seeing me trying to interpret the message, and explaining to her what I was doing, my granddaughter Isabelle, 8 years old, has a wonderful idea on how to represent the elementary information of 0s and 1s. Rather than representing the stream of bits on a square set, it is possible to represent it on an elementary 3D structure made from pyramids of of equilateral triangles, each of pyramid can contain 4 bits. It then suffices to assemble the elementary pyramidal structures according to the flow of data by sticking the faces according to their order of arrival in thedata stream

I had to get up in the middle of the night and write this down. Hopefully someone will reveal the message before I get back up in a few hours.😉 I think it is that simple. I think we have a set of "signs" on the starmap image of types Index, symbol and icon. If we apply the correct action at each of these signs, in the correct directions and in the correct order, the message will be revealed. It may be key that any actions be applied relative to the axes shown by by the coordinate system sign on the top left edge, rather than cut or fold along the natural starmap horizontal and vertical axes. As pointed out by @Oldmate (I believe) the coordinate system to use is shown here. I think the 2x2's signs are "icons" which stand close to their objects, the point clusters they are embedded in. Anything that looks like an arrow, is an arrow.. So, we must figure out what each sign means and apply the implied action in the correct direction along the axes in red directions or in image axes of appropiate . Conceptually, this is simple, but unless we decode the signs, we cannot get it right, and we must figure out the designated order. I do not know if this can be done digitally or if it must be done on a printed piece of square paper. By the way, the appropriate credit for this sign info is the NASA document, Chapter 5 by Richard Saint-Gelais and based on the Charles Sanders Peirce's three categories of signs in the field of semiotics.
